New Building Project

Life Touch Children's Home has been at its current location for fifteen years. Life Light Ministries has been praying to expand this ministry and provide better care to the children. Life Light Ministries has undergone a major structural change. Now we are registered as a non-profit organization in United States and in India. Our first major endeavor will be to fund a new building.

At present we have a 2000 square foot orphanage with half a hector of land. This building was erected in the 1970's. It was constructed with mud and stones, and covered with aluminum plates. We purchased it in the 1990's, and since then the orphanage has resided here. The facility has a suggested capacity of twenty-five people, but we currently house thirty-five orphans. Due to overcrowding, we need a new home that will hold the current capacity and accomodate more in future.

Life light Ministries is envisioning a new facility, which will hold 150 boys and girls. This will be based on a village concept model, which will have ten homes each consisting of 15 children. They would be staffed by in-residence house parents who make long-term commitments to raise the youngsters as their own.

This facility will include ten homes, one administrative building, chapel and multi-purpose room. This facility will be nearby St. John's School for those who would like to study English. This potential building project is divided into three phases:

  1. The first phase is to acquire the necessary land. We need a minimum of five acres of land to build this village. We are looking at various properties which will hopefully be near the school. We are also taking into consideration the quality of roads in-between, during the rainy season.
  2. The second phase is building ten homes, which will hold a total of 150 boys and girls. This will be spread throughout five acres of property. These homes will have all the necessary facilities to accomodate each individual family.
  3. The third phase is building a multipurpose room and a chapel. The multipurpose room will be used as a study room and cafeteria. The chapel will be used for worship.
